Böker plus - Böker Plus Shovel M1874 black

The Böker Plus Shovel M1874 black impresses with its numerous possible uses and is therefore ideal for bushcrafters and off-road drivers. The M1874 is also interesting for collectors of military equipment, as the historical model of this model was used in both world wars, among other things. In addition to the obvious use in trenches, you can also use this extremely robust shovel for splitting firewood, as a climbing aid on steep slopes or as an emergency paddle.
The two-part construction of blade and spring is connected with five strong rivets, additionally secured with a 40 mm wide steel clamp and encloses the break-proof ash wood handle up to half its length. This creates very good stability and the shovel has a high resistance to breakage and shock loads. It is also easy to resharpen even under field conditions. One simple sharpening method is to lay both edges flat with the inside of the blade on a concrete block.
The case with two belt loops is made of moisture-resistant and rot-proof black nylon with a solid plastic insert.
