The rifle was developed in the 1950s by the company Armalite after a demand arose for a format between submachine gun and rifle. Armalite later sold the rights to the AR-15 to Colt. Since the 1960s it has been better known under the designation M16. By 1985 more than 6 million M16s had been produced. Even today, numerous units such as the Air Force, Navy SEALs, etc. still rely on this classic.
The detailed replica from the GSG Sport series with an energy of max. 0.5 joules can be operated in semi- and full-auto mode and comes with extensive accessories. The integrated spin-up system stabilizes the BB’s trajectory for greater precision and improved shot patterns. The AR-15 features a sliding stock, a red dot sight (battery included), a front grip and a barrel extension. Delivery includes battery (Ni-Mh 7.2 volt – 500 mAh), matching charger, loading rod and some BBs.
