The helmet adapters from FMA are used to conveniently attach the MSA Sordin headsets to helmets. The adapter has two pins on each side, which are used to attach the earpieces individually to the adapter. In combination with the rail adapters, the earpieces can now be attached to the helmet's Picatinny rails. The advantage of this adapter is that the headset can be folded away from the ear when not in use, allowing noise and air to reach the ear. At the same time, however, acoustic protection and the ability to communicate are within reach and can be restored with a single movement.
