A classic inspired by the Nepalese kukri, which became known through the Gurkha regiments in the 19th century. The forward-curved edge allows the machete to be used like an axe while still benefiting from the advantages of a long blade. The edge has different grinds: near the handle it is razor-sharp so the knife can be used with an acute cutting angle, while at the tip of the blade it is flat and thus suitable for penetrating wood and brush.
